There are plenty of quality songs, including the first song, “ Fast In My Car,” which is exactly what you’ll want to do when listening to it. Overall, I think this is a successful album. Already a powerhouse vocalist at the age of 13. There’s a sequel to “Let The Flames Begin” called “Part II” and has other solid songs such as “Grow Up” and “Last Hope.” The album also offers a few love songs (“Still Into You” and “Proof”) that fans haven’t really heard before from the band. Although their blend of emo-pop and slick, anthemic rock & roll eventually made them stars on both sides of the Atlantic, Paramore began humbly enough in Franklin, Tennessee, where Hayley Williams met brothers Josh and Zac Farro after moving to town from Mississippi. That’s not to say that old Paramore fans shouldn’t give this album a chance. You can hear this on track six: “Ain’t It Fun” where the upbeat song includes a back-up gospel choir. You can tell the three members really explored their sound and got out of their rock bubble a couple times. If that’s true, Paramore is one stand-out piece of work. When a band self-titles an album, it’s understood that these are the best songs they’ve written, and, most importantly, this sound is what defines the band.

It’s also a self-titled album, which really makes a statement. The album features 17 songs, including three interludes that, according to this interview with MTV, the band wrote out of writer’s block. This past Tuesday the new Paramore album was released, and without even listening to this album, you can tell it stands out from the rest.
